Meetings

Penrith Town Council have set up a new community group and it is expected that the group will undertake research, consultation, offer advice on possible future policy, projects and strategies how we as a community can make a difference and reduce the impact of climate change.
A preliminary meeting was held on 20 October 2020 and 16 people attended representing local authorities, Penrith sustainability groups, business representatives and members of the public.
It was agreed that the attendees would like to develop a networking and advisory group to drive forward the Council’s strategy.
If you have knowledge, skill and experience on the subject of climate change, working with the community, project management, and/ or voluntary work, we hope you would consider supporting this group and we would like to hear from you.
