Penrith Town Council is inviting people to meet local councillors, raise issues and share their priorities for the town at community engagement sessions on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 October 2026.
The drop-in sessions will take place at the Parish Rooms, St Andrew’s Place, Penrith, CA11 7XX, at the following times:
Tuesday 6 October
- 2pm to 5pm
- 6pm to 8pm
Wednesday 7 October
- 10am to 12 noon
The sessions are open to residents, community groups, businesses and local organisations. Councillors will be available for informal ward-based conversations about local concerns, suggested improvements and the issues that matter most in each area.
Displays will outline current Council work and potential future projects, with opportunities to ask questions and leave comments. Partner organisations will also be available.
Cllr Barbara Jayson, Chair of Penrith Town Council’s Communities Committee, said:
“These sessions are a chance to speak directly with councillors, learn more about local projects and help shape the town’s priorities.
“Whether you have a concern, an idea to share or simply want to find out more, please drop in at a time that suits you. These conversations will help us understand local priorities and plan for the future.”
Feedback gathered during the sessions will be reviewed to identify common themes and help inform future Council priorities, services and projects. The Council hopes the events will also make it easier for people to understand how they can get involved and continue sharing their views.
No appointment is needed and attendees can arrive at any time during the advertised sessions.
