Penrith Allotments
Allotments
Ownership of the allotments sites in Penrith transferred to Penrith Town Council from Eden District Council in July 2016.
The allotments are managed and run by the Penrith Allotment Association who are continuing to do this on behalf of Penrith Town Council. The Association handles all enquiries, manages vacancies and maintains a waiting list for all the allotment sites.
Allotment Plots
The Town Council has allotment plots across four sites in Penrith, approximately as follows:
Salkeld Road – Currently consists of 24 Full Plots, some of which are also split into Half and Quarter Plots.
James Street – Currently consists of 14 Full Plots, some of which are also split into Half Plots and Quarter Plots.
Folly Lane – Currently consists of 42 Full Plots which are also split into Half and Quarter Plots.
Brackenber Close – Currently consists of 70 full plots, some are split into half and quarter plots, and 37 hen pens.

If you are interested in having an allotment you need to contact Penrith Allotment Association who will add your name to the current waiting list.
